If music is poetry and poetry is music, then Said
Omar's music is both-- music and poetry. His newly released
CD Dokhtar-e-Zargar was composed and arranged by
the talented Wahid Qasimi (grandson of the late Ustad Qasim Afghan),
recorded at Ariana Music
Studios in Burke, Virginia and produced by Marcopolo International. Of the
11 songs that accompany the CD, we have selected the forth song,
Lab-e-Darya.
Also as a special treat, we present his version of Dukan-e-Rang
(poem by Raziq Fani) sang at a private function in Virginia.
