A Guide for Authors

Mardom Nama-e Bakhter is a scientific and research journal published every six months that covers the fields of history, geography, anthropology, culture and environment. The focus is on the ancient Bakhterian land, covering today's Afghanistan and Tadjikistan, as well as many parts of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Iran.
It is intended for a multi-disciplinary and international readership, therefore all manuscripts should be written clearly and simply. Contributions can be in Persian (Dari, Farsi and Tadjiki), Pashto or English. Space is limited, so brevity of articles is highly valued. The length of published contributions are contingent on the editors according to the importance of the subject.

  • Titles should be informative and short and contain no punctuation and numerical values.
  • Illustrated figures and tables are encouraged in the articles.
  • Superscript numbers and cited sequentially in the text.
  • References should be listed at the end of the articles and should include the name of author(s),year of publication, title, source (number) and first and last pages of the cited paper.
