Howl

By Fahima Zahir

His head reels to the rhythm of the silent shriek that makes her pupils dilate..like a shrinking moon whose reflection betrays the cover of the lit sea..

his back arches as he feels the dripping blood between her panther claws and the moistened skin feels the grating touch of sharpened nails against pulsating flesh that shrinks to the touch

he finds himself on a tide.. riding the waves created for him.. hitting shore and again thrown against the open sea to taste the saline waters that fill his mouth and back again on another tide that carries him to shore his face pressed against the cold wet grains of sand and warm flesh..

he gulps for air scratching with hands at what he cannot see and hears sounds of singing mermaids.. the sounds come closer and sharper until he hears it against his ears and hears the soft moaning ... i want all

i want it all.
