Steamy Night

Last night
I saw in the steamy window a shadowy face
I merely looked, saw nothing more.
The reflection entangled my view
the rhythm of breathing opened an invisible door.
The unbroken silence
caresses the sound of the lazy wind
I have seen the sleeping flowers awaken before.
Listening with silent ears soothes the soul
someone is whispering to me
why don't you explore.

It must have been the wind that took away my dream
otherwise,
I could have spent the rest of night with you for sure.
Isn’t it strange,
my dream never put foot on the floor
the falling pieces bridged the drifting moments together
I found so much love for you in store.
In the mist of the night I was searching for the light
the silence of the moment shared a song
sailing calmly to meet you on the nearby shore.

From the distance came a fisherman’s song
the melody was about an eventful tour.
‘After a nightly storm a beautiful morning was formed
sailing calmly with the moment brought magic of a cure.
Even though you never walked inside the door
the passionate heart remained loyal
found no one but you to adore.’

I must have been dreaming before
lost the balance to stay at the core.
The rain was falling outside the door
no one could stop the pour.
A tiny bird was lost on the back porch
when I opened my eyes to explore
She was exhausted from the battle with the rain
sitting quietly on the floor...
