Obsession of a Memory

Last night,
in the shadow of a light,
I heard this rhyme within the silence of the night
"O candle for the sake of the moth
do this little favor for me
flare up just once and then die"
Without your love,
my heart won't be at ease
I would be living in a winter freeze.
For so long,
I haven't heard the sound of birds
where is the early spring and the late fall breeze?

You said,
my pain will end soon,
why don't you cease to grieve?
The dark clouds will leave,
nights will be brief,
I said,
my heart is, but I'm not naive.
the sorrow of love won't be brief.
What MORE is left for me to endure?
obsession of my heart let you have it your way.
Whatever I do,
A cool breeze or a stormy wave,
can't make the roots of memory sway.

Canceling my heart's desire is not wise
burning with passion, I endure it all.
The tree of life is not growing tall
Just before you come,
it might be the time to fall
